Limavady Event 5 to 7 September 2025

After passing the school and realising we missed the turn off, we did another lap of the town centre passing other members who had also got lost.  We eventually arrived safely at the High School, with the hosts making sure no one did more than two laps of the one-way system and directed everyone in the right direction to get into the school. We arrived and were swiftly checked in by our hosts Sandra and Jean with Vic and Brian making sure everyone was parked up safely. We were invited into the hall on the Friday evening and a game of swing the ball was arranged which was very funny to watch followed by some music provided by Norman, a good evening was had by all.

Saturday morning there was a van boot sale where several items changed hands at very reasonable prices.  This was followed by an afternoon of shopping and light refreshments in Limavady town, which was only a short stroll away. On Saturday evening we had Joe Mac providing great entertainment which had many people dancing away.  We had a really good raffle arranged by Sandra and Jean’s four little helpers who did a fantastic job.  There were some great prizes including radios, alcohol, free nights away etc with Eddie coming out on top leading the prize haul and taking away four prizes, well done.

Sunday coffee morning, we had tea and coffee arranged by Margaret and Co thanks for this, it’s always appreciated.  Our Chairman, David, thanked our hosts Sandra and Vic and Jean and Brian for organising a great weekend.  Also, everyone was thanked for coming and some new members Alan and Evelyn Beattie and Frank and Maureen Lunney were welcomed into the Club.  There were Birthday’s for Joe, Marissa and Pete and wedding anniversaries for Marissa and Leonard and Claire and Seamus, everyone was congratulated. We were all wished a safe journey home and informed the next event will be at Portadown for Country Comes to Town on !9th to 21st September.
