It was a full house in Portstewart for Red Sails which led nicely to the first night of entertainment of Play Your Cards Right. It really is a great game for participation and the room echoed with shouts of higher and lower as Joe & Yvonne splashed the cash for winning members. Some music followed and members indulged in the usual conversation and good humour.
There were plenty of comings and goings next day as our super convenient site is right at The Promenade where the many planned events were taking place. Members took full advantage of the atmosphere and so did our Linzi who appeared later with a whopper of a stuffed toy. Its so big it would need a membership of its own! Into the hall for Saturday evening Big Dave entertained us for the fist time and had us all taking a turn round the floor. There was a brief interlude for members to file outside for the fireworks display then back in again where David & Gary hosted the raffle. As usual, it was brilliantly supported through the generosity of members. With vouchers and other prizes safely tucked away members hit the floor once again and partied till late.
Coffee morning was the usual treats and conversation. We are always thankful for Jack and Florence. Joe gave a hosts address and the renowned puzzle enthusiast Arlene Campbell made off with the quiz prize. Well done Arlene and better luck next time for the runners-up! David then brought us all up to speed with happenings and thanking Joe & Roberta for all their hosting efforts. Some great news was seeing James McClintock and family out with us for their first weekend along with Philip & Heather Cardwell. We sincerely hope you all enjoyed yourselves and hope we see you on the road with us again soon. It’s a case of North to South as we head to Malahide for our big August holiday event. With plenty of entertainment planned it’ll be great Craic. But sure, isn’t it always!!
