Heading to Cookstown primary school on a lovely spring evening we were welcomed by our wonderful hosts Anthony and Geraldine assisted by Willie and Maureen, The ladies took the details whilst the men done their traffic duties.
When everyone was parked up safely we headed to the hall for a game of bingo, which was called by Florence assisted by Gary, after which everyone chatted the night away while Gary provided the music.
Saturday with the sun shining down on us, many of us made our way downtown to enjoy a bit of shopping and a plunder through the market stalls. Some sampled the local cuisine whilst others sampled a bevvy or two before heading back to get organised for the night.
Again all hands to the hall for a mighty nights craic with music provided again by Gary and as usual the night flew in and it was over as quick as it started.
Sunday morning we were back at the hall for Tea and Coffee and a spread of bread, cakes and goodies, home baked by Geraldine and Maureen and no doubt helped by Anthony and Willie. It was the next best thing to a home bakery ( the bars set high to the next hosts) probably be an ulster fry ha ha.
Martin took the place of David, who was on holidays, and congratulated the hosts for a wonderful weekend.
He also welcomed new members, Craig Cranmore who joined us on Friday and Brian and Fiona Hillier who joined us on Saturday. He congratulated Drew and Annette on their Wedding Anniversary.
He reminded everyone that the booking for the North West 200 would be opening on the 2nd March after 7pm, anyone interested in going needed to contact Gary.
That was us all wrapped up for another amazing weekend with everyone looking forward to our next event on St Patricks weekend in Newtownards starting on Friday 13th March.
Safe Travels everyone.
Margaret and Eddie
